I was looking at your Farr.co.za website where you mention that Octavia
Harriet Drake, daughter of Henry Alfred Drake and Mary Elizabeth Carr,
married William Daniel Frederick Brink. You also mention that a witness at
their wedding, Wilhelmina Brink, might have been William's mother.

I am not certain, but I suspect that William Daniel Frederick Brink might
have been the son of Daniel Frederick Berrange Brink jnr. and Wilhelmina
Frances (maiden name unknown).

I also know that Frederica Marie Magdalena Brink, a sister of Daniel Brink
jnr., both children of Daniel Frederick Berrange Brink snr. and Henrietta
Christina (maiden name unknown), was married to Nicholas Perich, son of
George Perich and Ellen Maria Knott.

Octavia Brink also appears at the baptism of a child of Henrietta Christina
Dryden nee Brink, another daughter of Daniel Brink snr. and Henrietta
Christina (maiden name unknown).

If you have any further information on William Daniel Frederick Brink,
husband of Octavia Drake, I would be very interested to see it; there does
seem to be a divorce record for them in the Cape Town Archives and Estate
Papers for William in the Pretoria Archives, but I have not had the
opportunity to look at either.

I am a descendant of Daniel Frederick Berrange Brink snr. and Henrietta
Christina (maiden name unknown).

The reason I am responding is that Charles is my brother and the Farr domain belongs to him. I only do the family side of things.

The background to this part of the tree is that there is a Banfield connection to the du Plessis which leads to you. Lorraine Banfield's father, James did a lot of work on this part of the tree before he passed away. Lorraine has kindly allowed this branch to be linked to my tree and therefore all the information pertaining to the Banfields, Drakes and Brinks has obviously come from her or her father. You can contact her at lorraine.mcdowellz, maybe she has more information.

In any event if something does come up, I will let you know

Octavia married Laurence Joseph Murphy (Lar), son of Laurence Murphy and Unknown. (Laurence Joseph Murphy (Lar) was born on 1881 Aug 8 in Wexford, Ireland, died on 1934 Jan 26 in Kalk Bay, Western Cape, Cape Town and was buried in Plumstead, Western Cape, South Africa.)

Octavia next married William Daniel Frederick Brink, son of Daniel Frederick Berrange Brink and Wilhelmina Frances, on 1902 Dec 1 in Newlands, Western Cape, South Africa. (William Daniel Frederick Brink was born about 1884.)
