Blanche, was just a little girl in the siege of Mafeking during the Boer War. She then went to a convent as a boarder in SeaPoint and nearly became a nun. However, she went to work in a shop in Claremont and met Victor at a party and they eventually got married.
Blanche married Victor Albert Huskisson, son of Joseph Jacques Huskisson and Rachel King Bailey, on 1920 Mar 3 in Woodstock, Western Cape, South Africa. (Victor Albert Huskisson was born on 1884 Mar 6, died on 1961 Aug 23 and was buried in Noord Hoek, Western Cape, South Africa.)
